We've all heard of kuey teow basah or some just refer to it as kuey teow melayu. but how many of us have actually heard or even tried burger basah? I have and I just can't get enough of it. Frankly speaking, i'm not sure whether it is commonly referred to as burger basah or burger banjir, but then again, when it comes to food, names are irrelevant.

This burger basah stall that i know of is located in taman bunga raya, which is where tar college setapak is placed. I know I'm not an expert on food locations but when I asked my friends if they know of any other stall that sells it, most of them would reply with a ' wth is burger basah?'. Even googling it, there were only one or two relevant hits.

Basically, it is a normal burger, but they pour sauce over the burger, making it wet and extra awesome. the sauce kinda tastes like black pepper which works perfectly for me. If you eat it on the spot, they would poke a satay stick through the centre of the burger, thus holding it in place while you tear at it with your fork and spoon.

Whenever friends or relatives stay over in my place and contemplate what to eat in kl for supper, burger basah is my first suggestion and usually they would succumb to the curiosity embedded in every Malaysian when it comes to food.

I'm pretty sure that this isn't the only stall that sells it this way ( it isn't very hard to make it anyway ) but it honestly is very tasty and having it on a cold, wet night makes it extra special and as my friend says, extra basah.
